School for Advanced Studies/GATE

Our School for Advanced Studies (SAS) provides a high-level curriculum for gifted and high-achieving learners, which includes depth, complexity, novelty, and acceleration. To meet the needs of these students, our SAS classes cluster gifted and high-achieving students together, and our experienced SAS teachers utilize a wide variety of gifted teaching strategies, to meet the special needs of these students.

 

Any student who meets the eligibility criteria and who resides anywhere within the LAUSD boundaries may apply to our School for Advanced Studies. We have the only elementary SAS program in Panorama City and will be happy to accept eligible students from other schools.
