1st Grade

We hope you and your child are ready for first grade.

 

Students will actively engage in both whole and small group project-based learning as they acquire foundational skills in phonics, reading fluency, comprehension, and concept/vocabulary development (constructive conversational practices) through integrated science, social studies, and art 1st grade also focus on mathematical problem solving through daily reinforcement of number sense and algebraic reasoning using a variety of strategies and manipulatives.
