Psychiatric Social Worker
As a PSW, I provide mental health interventions and consultations. Mental health interventions promote resiliency and facilitate students' ability to manage challenges, crises, and / or traumatic experiences by promoting healthy relationships, self-reflection, adaptive coping, and problem solving skills to optimize success with peers, family, and the school community.
Interventions include case management, linkage, and coordination of services as well as individual therapy, groups, parent education, family therapy, and teacher / staff consultations.
